The International City/County Management Association Texas State University Student Chapter (ICMA TXST) is a great professional organization to learn more about local government management, connect with other students, meet local government professionals, and develop useful skills. ICMA TXST is open to all Texas State University students and membership is free. Students compete in a college bowl competition at the state Texas City Managers Association conference, engage in local community events and focus on the professional development for public administrators.
All MPA students are automatically members of the ICMA student chapter at Texas State and are welcome to attend any meetings which take place once a month.
